Severe weather warning issued for thunderstorms

A severe weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy rain will be in place until 10pm this evening.

Issuing an orange warning Met Éireann said there will be “Thunderstorms and very heavy showers producing significant rainfall accumulations over short time periods.”

“Possible impacts: Flash flooding, Very difficult travelling conditions with reduced visibility and Power outages.”

As well as Donegal the warning is in place for counties Cavan, Clare, Connacht, Longford, Offaly, and Westmeath.
