Middletown 0-13 Setanta 1-11

However, they did improve with Gerard Gilmore and Declan Coulter to the fore, and Middletown were 0-10 to 0-8 ahead at the break.
The Armagh champions moved four ahead but Gilmore struck two more frees before Josh McGee Cronolly scored a super goal for Setanta.
Middletown drew level before Ryan Gaffney missed a penalty at a crucial juncture in the 60th minute.
