SETANTA’S Shane Gallen has been included in the Ireland U21 squad for first test of the 2015 Senior Hurling/Shinty International Series involving Ireland and Scotland.
It will take place on 24 October at 11.30pm in Bught Park, Inverness and will be followed by the senior game which will take place at 2pm.
The Hurling/Shinty senior series is played on a home and away basis. The return game will be played in Croke Park on 21 November prior to the Eirgid International Rules game between Ireland and Australia.
The Irish Hurling/Shinty senior team will be managed this year by Jeffrey Lynskey, Galway and Gregory O’ Kane, Antrim.
