The final round in the group stages of the RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta Senior Football Championship takes place this weekend and there is still plenty to play for as the teams battle it out to make the quarter-finals.
St Eunan’s and Dungloe get proceedings underway in Group 2 on Saturday evening in a winner-takes-all clash at O’Donnell Park. Naomh Conaill and Ardara meet on Sunday, but there will just be local bragging rights at stake, as both teams already know their fate.
St Michael’s are in control in Group 3, and they travel to face a Glenfin team who will have victory on their minds, while Four Masters and Cloughaneely meet in Donegal Town.
Kilcar lead the way in Group 4, and they welcome second-placed Termon to Towney. Naomh Muire could yet make it to the quarters at the expense of Termon, if they record a convincing win over Killybegs at the Banks.
The action concludes on Sunday evening with two enticing tussles from Group 1. Glenswilly have already qualified for the knockout stages and they meet a Sean MacCumhaills team who will be intent on joining them in the last eight. Gaoth Dobhair host Malin in Magheragallon at the same time and both teams are still in contention of qualifying.
