MESSAGES of support and good wishes are steaming in from all over the country following news this morning Senator Jimmy Harte, from Letterkenny, is in a critical condition in a Dublin Hospital.
Senator Harte, is in intensive care at Beaumont Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery this morning. His family are at the hospital. He had been at the Republic of Ireland versus Latvia international match last night at the Aviva Stadium, before taking ill.
“Jimmy is such a lovely man.Our thoughts and prayers are with him and the family at this time,” a friend said,
The next 48 hours will be critical for Senator Harte, a father of four. A, aLabour party he, comes from a l family in Raphoe steeped in politics. His father, Paddy, was a TD for 36 years and former government minister.
Senator Harte, is a former town and county councillor.
