SENATOR Jimmy Harte has been transferred to a Dublin hospital in a critically ill condition.
The popular public representative and businessman was transferred from Letterkenny General Hospital on Monday evening back to the Beaumontg Hospital after his condition deteriorated.
The father of four had been in Letterkenny since last Thursday, after spending almost eight weeks in the Beaumont with life threatening head injuries following a tragic fall close to his Dublin apartment.
On November 16th, Senator Harte was found unconscious close to his Dublin apartment in the Newmarket Square area of Dublin 8.
He underwent emergency surgery at Beaumont Hospital were he remained until he was transferred to Letterkenny General Hospital last week to continue his recovery.
His condition worsened over the weekend and a decision was taken on Monday to transfer him back to Beaumont hospital where his condition is described as critical.
At the county council budget meeting in Dublin members wished him well in his recovery describing him as a ‘real fighter’.
