NEXT Wednesday, October 30 sees the second ‘Gig for Gaza’ fundraiser take place in An Grianán Theatre, just over a year since the conflict began.
Once more organised by the local activists Donegal Branch of the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC), the gig will feature a night of music from a plethora of up-and-coming local bands including Heads of State, Chonk, Adair, Amy Meehan and BoyM5.
The event will also be addressed by Derry human rights activist and former People Before Profit Stormont MLA Eamon McCann.
Proceeds from the gig will go to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), working with displaced Palestinian refugees in the region since 1982.
The last gig, held in March this year, raised €6,000, with huge thanks from Donegal IPSC to everyone who attended.
‘Gig For Gaza’ takes place next Wednesday, beginning at 7:30pm. Those wishing to attend can book their tickets by visiting the An Grianán Theatre website through https://angrianan.com/event/gig-for-gaza-2/
