Second arson attack on office

GARDAI investigations were continuing yesterday (Thursday) after the offices of a chartered accountants’ firm in Letterkenny were petrol bombed.

Substantial damage was caused to the office premises of Farren-Roarty, Auditors-Accountants,Thorn Road, after two petrol bombs were hurled into the premises at around 3am on Wednesday. It was the second attack on the premises in the past three months.

Gardai have declined to be drawn on a possible motive for the sinister attack. Mr Seamus Farren, Senior Partner, with the firm, was unavailable for comment yesterday.

He has been involved as a receiver in a number of high profile cases in Donegal taken by banks and on behalf of the Revenue Commissioners.
