A MAN in his mid 40s is due to appear before Carndonagh District Court today, June 18, charged in relation to the murder of Bogdan Michalkiawicz in May.
The man was arrested in Letterkenny on Sunday night in connection with the investigation into the murder of Mr Michalkiawicz and was detained at Letterkenny Garda Station under under the provisions of section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
Bogdan Michalkiawicz was killed between the 13 and 15 May at 15 Westside Apartments, Letterkenny.He was last seen alive at lunchtime on Monday 13.
The man is the second person to be arrested as part of the investigation into the murder.
A 37-year-old male was arrested earlier this month, he was subsequently released. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
A reconstruction of the event will be aired on RTE’S Crimecall programme at 9.35pm tonight. An appeal for information will be made by An Garda Síochána.
