LETTERKENNY is to remember one of the town’s much loved gentlemen and popular residents when a seat is to be unveiled in his memory next week.
A stalwart of Letterkenny Credit Union for 40 years, Colm Ferry passed away in June in 2019.
In the almost five years since his death, he remains missed so much by all who knew and loved him.
Colm is also remembered fondly for his commitment to his work and for helping others over the years.
He had many more close friends through his other interests, including Fianna Fáil, Knights of Columbanus and the Letterkenny Heritage group.
In a lovely gesture, Letterkenny Community Heritage Group are set to remember Colm as they unveil a seat in his memory.
It will be located beside the Social Welfare Government Building on the High Road, poignantly looking directly across at the building where Colm helped so many.
The unveiling of the seat will take place on Wednesday, May 29 at 7pm.
All are welcome and there will be light refreshments in the County Museum afterwards.
