Emergency services are at the scene of a search operation which has been ongoing this evening off Buncrana.
The Irish Coast Guard search and rescue helicopter and several RNLI lifeboats are involved in the search which is taking place off the Lisfannon beach in Buncrana.
In a statement issued this evening, Gardai have confirmed that a search remains ongoing.

A Garda spokeserpson said: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently engaged in a search and rescue operation off the coast of Buncrana in Co. Donegal this afternoon, Saturday 10th May 2025.
“Garda units from Donegal North are involved in this operation, alongside the Coast Guard and ambulance services.
“The search remains ongoing. No further information is available at this time.”
