REPUBLIC of Ireland and Everton defender Seamus Coleman married his childhood sweetheart Rachel Cunningham surrounded by family and friends in Killybegs yesterday afternoon.
Coleman (26), flanked by Irish and Everton team-mate James McCarthy and his bothers Francis and Stephen, exchanged vows with Rachel at the St Mary the Visitation Church in their native Killybegs. Afterwards, three hundred guests travelled to Harvey’s Point Hotel, outside Donegal Town for the reception.
Many of them gathered once more yesterday in the Bayview Hotel, Killybegs, where Henry, Seamus’ father, works as manager, for a post-wedding reception.
Fellow Irish internationals Aidan McGeady, David Meyler and James McClean were also in attendance as was Everton team-mate Steven Naismith and former colleagues during his early playing days with St Catherine’s.
