Scoil Cholmcille wins Fís Film Award for third consecutive year

SCOIL Cholmcille has continued its remarkable success at the FÍS Film Awards, winning the Best Documentary award at the 20th annual ceremony, held at The Helix in Dublin.

The latest honour was awarded for the school’s new film, Voices Behind The Mic, confirming the school’s place among the most successful in the country in the field of student filmmaking.

The achievement follows last year’s success with The Race, which received an award for Curricular Relevance (SPHE), and the previous year’s win for The Award, which claimed the Best Drama title, completing an impressive three-in-a-row of accolades across three different categories.

The judges praised the film for its originality, strong storytelling and clear demonstration of collaboration, recognising the pupils’ ability to document their learning journey in an engaging and professional manner.

The entire school community has expressed enormous pride in the pupils and staff involved in the project. Winning three consecutive awards at the FÍS Film Awards is a significant achievement and reflects Scoil Cholmcille’s ongoing dedication to creativity, digital literacy and pupil voice.
