AMHARCLANN Ghaoth Dobhair is the venue for the local schools drama festival organised by An Cumann Scoildrámaíochta tomorrow, Monday, and Tuesday.
Beidh na drámaí ar fad i nGaeilge agus is cúis mhór dóchais agus misnigh go bhfuil an oiread sin drámaí ag glacadh páirt.
Thirty four plays will be performed over the two days by primary and post primary schools and youth groups throughout Donegal – from Gaoth Dobhair, Cloich Cheann Fhaola, Aráinn Mhór, Na Gleanntaí, Na Dúnaibh, Baile Dhún na nGall, Fánaid, Gleann Fhinne, Dun Fionnachaidh, Glasán agus Anagaire. Gaelscoil na gCeithre Máistrí in Donegal Town – will produce five plays over the two days with each class in the school performing on stage.
Joe Ó Gallchóir Muineachán is the adjudicator. Admission is €5 for one session, €10 for a two day ticket and children are free for all dramas.
Eighteen plays will be nominated to compete in the Ulster Finals in An Grianán, Letterkenny on March 21 and 22 with Pluincéad Ó Fearraigh the adjudicator.
Tá fáilte mhór roimh ranganna eile ó na scoltacha freastal ar na drámaí le linn am scoile Dé Luain agus Dé Máirt agus beidh saor chead isteach daofa. Bheadh sé deas lucht féachána a bheith ag achan dráma. Tá fáilte roimh an phobal taille €5 an seisiún nó €10 do thicéad na Féile. Ádh mór ar na paistí agus na scoltacha uilig!
