THERE were lengthy delays and heavy traffic in and around Letterkenny’s town schools this week, and the traffic chaos at morning and evening time is likely to continue until the end of the year.
Traffic along Convent Road, College Road and Sentry Hill areas was at its worst as children were dropped off in the mornings and later collected from the four main schools in the area.
The traffic disruption is being blamed in the main on a lack of parking outside the schools, and ongoing road improvements which got underway on Convent Road earlier this year.
