THE monthly West Donegal event, Clubeo, is in for a very sepcial treat from Galway tonight (Friday).

Baile an Salsa will take to the stage at Leo’s Tavern, Meenaleck, Crolly, as the main event, as well as the many other talented artists who will perform on the night.

Formed in 2012, Baile an Salsa are an international band comprised of ten world-class musicians. The band seamlessly and skillfully blend their passion for Latin salsa and traditional Irish music, which they call “Salsa-Trad”, and its appeal is apparent in the band’s growing Irish and international fan base.

Baile an Salsa perform original material composed by the band and blended with traditional Irish tunes. Andres Martorell, the lead vocalist and founder of the band, brings melodies from various styles including Salsa, Rumba, Flamenco, Sean Nós and more.

Don’t be surprised to hear songs in Irish, Spanish and English!
Clubo celebrates its second anniversary next month and the event hosted by Moya Brennan, Dónall Mac Ruairí and friends is more popular than ever.

Clubeo has had many special guests including Brian Kennedy, Duke Special, Damien Dempsey, The Henry Girls, Our Native State, In Their Thousands, to name a few.

But the core idea of the event remains the same – giving artists of all ages a regular platform to showcase their talents.
Clubeo begins 9.30pm sharp.
