Sea Angling
Angela Crerand reports that the Lough Swilly Sea Angling Club held another league competition last Sunday from Rathmullan.
Conditions were perfect with light winds and catches included Pollock, Ling, Red Gurnard, Pouting, Dogfish and a good number of large Whiting.
The winner on the day was Hugo McLaughlin with a great score of 341 points followed by Pat McGinty on 326. The next league trip is on Sunday 13th October.
Rathmullan Charters are now taking bookings for October. Rods and reels are available free of charge to groups of up to 10 anglers. Call Angela on 087 2480132 for details.
Trout Angling
The Milford & District Fly Angling Club will hold the last Club competition of the season this coming Sunday.
Angling time is from 12 noon until 6pm with weigh-in and meal afterwards in the Travellers Inn, Milford afterwards.
This is the last chance for points in the Angler of the year league table with this years competiion still very tight.

Salmon Angling
The Salmon Angling season ends this coming Monday, the 30th of September.
All Salmon & Sea Trout Licence log book catch returns must sent back to the IFI Office in Ballyshannon before the end of October.
These returns provide vital information to the standing scientific committee and may be the difference between a system being open or closed for Salmon angling next year !
