Sadness following the death of Little Blue Hero Danny McLaughlin

THERE is much sadness in Churchill today following the passing of Little Blue Hero Danny McLaughlin, Tirargus, Trentagh, Churchill.

Danny, who was just two-years-old, passed away peacefully at his late residence surrounded by his loving family yesterday, Sunday, February 23.

Danny was born with an inoperable brain tumour and received constant care from both his family and a team of nurses.

Last week, Danny was was officially welcomed as the latest recruit of the Little Blue Heroes.

A memorable graduation day was celebrated alongside members of the fire service, coast guard service and ambulance personnel, as well as his family and friends.

Danny’s remains are reposing at his late residence today. The wake is private to family, neighbours and close friends.

Funeral from there tomorrow, Tuesday, February 25 for Mass of the Angels in St Colmcille’s Church, Glendowan at 12pm, followed by interment in Gartan cemetery.

Danny is missed and loved so much by his heartbroken parents Michael, Annie and twin brother Charlie, deeply regretted by grandparents, Marcus and Teresa and Sabrina and Livinius and fondly remembered by his uncle Marcus, aunts Orla and Megan, extended family members, neighbours and friends.
