Renowned swimmer and former Army Ranger, Henry O’Donnell has died suddenly.
Henry, aged 58 and father of six was a native of Carrickfinn and recently lived in Letterkenny.
Last year, he made the headlines as he became the first person in history to finswim a country’s circumference. Mr O’Donnell raised over €50,000 for charities during his swim around Ireland.
Henry’s remains are reposing in Mc Glynn’s Funeral Home today from 2pm until 5pm, with removal then to his own home in Carrickfinn, where he will be waked from 7pm.
Funeral mass will take place on Saturday at 11am in the Star of the Sea Church, Annagry.
