News of the passing of Grace Kelly, Bomany, Letterkenny, has been met with much sadness in the town.
Ms Kelly (née Gallagher), died peacefully at her home today, surrounded by her loving family.
A very well known lady and much loved neighbour and friend, Ms Kelly will be remembered for her warmth and kindness.
She featured in the Donegal News last June along with her daughter Carmel when their picture was taken at Letterkenny Shopping Centre by our photographer, Brian McDaid.
The Kelly family are very well known in Letterkenny and beyond and Ms Kelly is survived by a large family, including nine children.
She was predeceased by parents Conal and Bridget, husband James (2005) and daughter Grace Marley (2012).
Deeply regretted by her children Mairead, Breda, PJ, Aidan, Seamus, Carmel, Claire, Evelyn and Louise, sons and daughters-in-law.
Sadly missed by brother William Gallagher and sister Peggy Breen. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandson, extended family members, good neighbours and many friends.
Ms Kelly’s funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Eunan’s Cathedral on Tuesday morning (Christmas Eve) at 11am followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery.
The house is strictly private at the request of the deceased.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu to the Parkinsons Association of Ireland, care of any family member or Charlie Mc Clafferty Funeral Director.
