Fiona (née McGinley) was an exceptionally talented artist and teacher whose work brought her admiration and praise, not just in Donegal, but much further afield.

She taught art at Mulroy College in Milford, before deciding to work full-time from home as an artist.

Much of her work was inspired by the beautiful scenery of the north west, particularly the Gaeltacht on the west coast of the county where she used to spend her summers since she was a child.

Her remains will repose at her home, 44 Glenoughty Close, Glencar, today from 6pm until 10pm and tomorrow, Tuesday, December 23 from 10am to 10pm.
