Finn Harps took their first win of the season against Longford Town tonight in Bishopsgate.
Dave Rogers men started bright with Ryan Rainey crossing to find Ryan Flood but the American’s effort went well over the bar with a good opportunity.
Longford had a couple of chances through Joshua Giurgi and Francis Campbell but neither could connect well.

A somewhat dull affair, both ‘keepers had very little to do, with the home side having the majority of the chances, with Campbell firing wide and an Aodh Dervin shot outside the box going just past the post.
Finn Harps got the chance to take the lead when two substitutes combined as Seamas Keogh found Daniel Okwute and the Stockport County loanee was pushed from behind by Kyle O’Connor.
Ryan Rainey stepped up and for the third time this season he fired home from 12 yards, sending Longford goalkeeper Jack Brady the wrong way to lead with 82 minutes gone.
The Harps held out for a first win of the season, moving them above Longford in the league.
