THE most popular names for babies born in Donegal last year were Ryan and Sarah, according to statistics released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) this week.
The latest statistics from the CSO also show that 2,212 babies were born in Donegal last year, the majority of them to married mothers between the ages of 30 and 34.
A total of 508 babies were born in Donegal during the fourth quarter of 2011, six more than during the same period in 2010.
