IT has been a long wait for a competitive match for new Letterkenny Rovers manager Danny McConnell but he is looking forward to getting started against Cockhill Celtic on Sunday at 2pm in Leckview Park.
McConnell was appointed as Eamonn McConigley’s successor at the end of August, but the 2020/21 season had to be scrapped.
Rovers have played Dungannon Swifts in a friendly and they also entered the Letterkenny Community Centre Summer Cup, but the ante will be upped this week when the Donegal News League Cup begins.
