Rosses Community School 2-1 St Jarlath’s College, Tuam
THERE was delight in the Sligo sun for Rosses Community School today as they defeated St Jarlath’s College, Tuam in the FAI Schools First Year Girls ‘B’ National Cup Final at the Showgrounds.
St Jarlath’s got off to a wonderful start when Sophie Parsons Warren netted in the second minute.
However, Rosses equalised in the 22nd minute when Emily Doogan scored a free-kick.
The sides were level at 1-1 at half-time.
The crucial winning goal arrived three minutes after the restart when Maria McGee found the net.
The Tuam girls kept going but couldn’t find a leveller.
Rosses CS replicate their 2022 Cup success with another national title at First Year level.
