The Rosapenna Golf Resort has ranked fourth in a list of the Top 100 Golf Resorts across Great Britain and Ireland in 2023.
The Rosapenna Golf Resort gives a unique golfing experience for both the professional and novice golfer with three 18-hole links courses to offer within the World Top 100 (No. 32), two in the Great Britain and Ireland ranking (No. 79) and all three within the Top 50 of the Ireland list.
The new St Patrick’s Links course, designed by world-renowned Golf Course Architect Tom Doak, has seemingly lifted the resort to a new platform.
Speaking earlier this week Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr. Liam Blaney congratulated the team at the Rosapenna Golf Resort on this achievement.
“The Rosapenna Golf Resort has raised the profile of Donegal to an international audience.
“This is a massive boost not only to Downings but to the entire county and indeed the north west region. Golf is a really important sector for the tourism industry in Donegal and this accolade demonstrates the high-quality golf product that we have and will be a boost to all the clubs in the county,” said Cllr Blaney.
Chris Bertram, editor for the Top 100 Golf Resorts in Great Britain and Ireland describes his experience as ‘world class’.
“I was adamant that St Patrick’s was epic, a world-class course that would be a game-changer for the resort and the whole of North West Ireland.
“It makes Rosapenna a destination in itself and one that connoisseurs will feel they have to get to,” said Mr Bertham.
