Former Donegal manager Rory Gallagher has had his ban by the GAA overturned by the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA).
Gallagher, who managed Derry in 2023 and guided the Oak Leaf County to the Ulster title in 2022, stepped away from the job two days before their 2023 provincial decider due to serious allegations of domestic abuse.
The Fermanagh man had then taken some training sessions with the Corduff club in Monaghan back in September and as a result was temporarily debarred by the GAA.
A statement by the Ulster Council following the ban, stated: “Ulster GAA wish to confirm that Mr Rory Gallagher has been temporarily debarred, without prejudice, from the GAA until the Ulster GAA Safeguarding Panel conclude their work.”
However, according to RTÉ reports, Gallagher’s suspension was struck out by the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) on Wednesday and he is free to return to Gaelic Games activity.
