A ROAD remains closed this afternoon following a serious collision in Ballintra.

The crash between a lorry and car happened on the Ballyshannon – Donegal Town road earlier today.

At least one person is thought to be seriously injured.

Gardai in Ballyshannon have confirmed the road remains closed and diversions are in place.
