Winston disappeared from his home near Clady on the Donegal border between 10pm on October 6 and 7am the following morning.

The six-year-old pet suffers from a number of health problems including epilepsy and requires his medication urgently.

His family stress that he is not a working dog. They also believe that Winston may have been stolen.

Family friend Rosemary Hastings has set up the Facebook page ‘Bring Winston Home’ which has attracted hundreds of likes to date.

“Winston was wearing a collar which may have been removed,” Ms Hastings said.

“We believe Winston was stolen as his name tag was taken off his collar and thrown at the property. He is microchipped with a southern Irish microchip and the details are registered and up to date. Please keep sharing to get Winston back. If you know anything about his disappearance please contact me. It will be treated in the strictest confidence. The family just wants him back.

“If you want to leave him back somewhere contact me to arrange a pick up. Thank you  so much, let’s bring Winston home,” Ms Hastings added.

For details on how to contact Rosemary Hastings, check out the ‘Bring Winston Home’ Facebook page.
