Repairs complete and water supply returning to customers in Donegal

Uisce Éireann crews have successfully completed repairs following multiple bursts to a water main affecting the Ballybofey and Stranorlar areas this morning.

Normal water supply is now returning to the majority of customers. However, those on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience disruption or an intermittent supply for a number of hours.

Customers may experience discolouration to their supply as a result of the repairs. In the event of discolouration, running the tap for several minutes will usually restore water to a clear colour. Uisce Éireann’s Paul Kilcoyne acknowledged the impact on customers.

“On behalf of Uisce Éireann, I’d like to thank customers who were impacted by this unplanned outage for their patience and co-operation.”
