A CARNDONAGH man charged with the murder of his elderly parents has been remanded in custody following a brief court appearance.
Julian Cuddihy (42), of Churchtown, appeared in court on Friday at a remand hearing at Harristown District Court in County Roscommon, which is adjacent to Castlerea Prison.
He is charged with the murder of his parents Jimmy (77) and Kathleen (73) at the family home in Carndonagh on or around October 22nd.
Cuddihy has been in custody at Castlerea since he was remanded at a sitting of Ballyshannon District Court on October 24.
Judge Geoffrey Browne remanded Cuddihy in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on February 13.
The accused man consented to his further remand.
