HUGE crowds are expected to attend the wake this evening of tragic Ballybofey teenager, Kym Harley.
The popular young woman, who only celebrated her 19th birthday last weekend, was a front seat passenger in the car which hit a hedge and overturned at around 4:25 am this morning on the road between her home at Dreenan and Knock Crossroads.
She is the daughter of well-known Fine Gael County Councillor and publican, Martin Harley. Mr Harley and his wife Denise run Cheers Bar in Ballybofey where the young woman worked.
Gardaí at Ballybofey say they are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred near the local Butt Hall Tennis Club, not far from the Harley family home.
The 19-year-old male driver received minor injuries.
Her remains will be reposing at the family home from 7pm this evening.
The funeral will leave her home on Thursday at 10.15 am for 11 am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Stranorlar, followed by interment in Drumboe Cemetery.
Family time from 11 pm until 10 am and on the morning of the funeral.
She is survived by her parents, Martin and Denise, brothers Ryan and Gavyin and sisters Natalie and Hannah, uncles, aunts, grandparents and a wide circle of family and friends.
