Relief for Letterkenny man who got Italy winners tattoo

A LETTERKENNY man is celebrating after he placed a €1,000 bet on Italy to win the Euros and even got a winners tattoo on his back in ‘a bulletproof prediction.’

Social media personality ‘MadYock’ from Letterkenny posted a video of the stunt on his YouTube channel ahead of the knockout stages of the tournament, and lucky for him, his stunt paid off.

Last night (Sunday), Italy beat England on penalties to be crowned the champions in a dramatic final of Euro 2020 after the game finished 1-1  after extra time.

‘MadYock’ was so confident of his prediction, he placed a €1,000 bet on Italy and even got a champions tattoo on his back and he is no €6,500 richer.

In an optimistic move, the Youtuber used a bingo drum and a game of beer pong to pick the winning team and documented the process on his channel.

Posted on June 26 2021, the video documents how he scribbled prices ranging between €100 and €10,000 on 12 different ping pong balls before placing them in a bingo drum.

The €1,000 ball came out and the YouTuber then placed the name of all the countries in the last 16 on the bottom of beer pong cups and placed them on a table at random and the ball landed in Italy.

He then made his way to LK Ink Tattoo Studios in Letterkenny where the Euros trophy with the words “UEFA EURO WINNERS, ITALY 2020” was permanently etched into his skin.

On his journey to the bookies, he gave random stangers in the street €50 and told them to go and back Italy in the final.

Donning his Italian football hoody, Mad Yock then rushed to the bookmakers and put on his bet where it was revealed he would win €6,500 if Italy were crowned champions.

‘MadYock’ said, “Don’t worry lads, I’m a fortune teller, its a bullet proof prediction.

“Thanks to LK Ink Tattoo Studio in Letterkenny for letting me film the whole tattoo process, it turned out sweet and they’re a great sound bunch of lads.

“It’s coming Rome… Viva la Spaghet.”
