Red Hugh’s ready for ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity

RED Hugh’s manager Seosamh Mac Ceallbhuí has urged his charges to make the most of their ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity this Saturday.

Red Hugh’s take on Limavady Wolfhounds in Celtic Park in the Ulster Club Junior Football Championship Final.

Mac Ceallbhuí’s side are aiming to emulate Naomh Colmcille who won the provincial competition last season.

It’s a big ask of Red Hugh’s but Mac Ceallbhuí hopes his team can make the most of the occasion.

“I pointed out to the lads that I can almost guarantee them that they will never reach another Ulster Club Final again,” said Mac Ceallbhuí, who has no serious injury concerns this week.

“There are a couple of older lads that are probably coming towards the end anyway, and they will definitely not be back.

“There are a lot of very good footballers walking around who have never even got close to playing in an Ulster Club Final.

“We will play in one on Saturday and we just hope we can make the most of it. It really is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
