Red Hugh’s will have their second run out in the Michael Murphy Sports & Leisure Junior A Championship when they host Moville on Sunday at 3pm in Pairc Aodh Rua.
And the Killygordon men have a lot to feel good about in recent times.
Despite a somewhat slow start to their league campaign, they are now on a winning streak, having won their last five games in-a-row.
That winning streak includes an away trip in the league to Moville (this weekend’s championship opponents) last Sunday.
In a high-scoring game, they overcame the Inishowen men 3-13 to 3-18.
Perhaps their most impressive victory however was when they took the scalp of Naomh Muire.
Joe Carlin’s men defeated that senior championship team by four points in Pairc Aodh Rua on Thursday 13th and are now, understandably, brimming with confidence.
“We’re on a good run at the moment,” said Carlin.
“We started very slow at the beginning of the year but we’ve now had five wins on the trot so we’re starting to take off.”
