THE General Manager for Older People Services in the HSE this week welcomed the report on a HIQA inspection of Ramelton Community Hospital which was recently published.
Martin McCollum from the HSE Community Healthcare section covering Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo expressed his delight at the outcome of the inspection which took place at the facility on April 26.
Ramelton Community Hospital is a 30 bed Residential Care Facility which provides Assessment, Respite, Long Term Care, and Palliative Care for clients within the Ramelton Catchment Area.
It provides 14 long-term care beds and 16 short-term care beds.
HIQA inspected 19 regulations on the day of inspection. Out of these, 11 regulations received a compliant judgement, eight received a substantially compliant judgement and there were no non-compliant judgements.
Speaking after the publication of the report Mr McCollum said: “I am delighted with the results of HIQA’s recent inspection in Ramelton. The HSE will continue to work to ensure the delivery of high quality, person-centred services to the residents in Ramelton Community Hospital”.
