Rainfall warning for Donegal

 

A rainfall warning has been issued for Donegal as the county sees heavy down pours this morning. 

Met Eireann issued a status yellow warning for Donegal, while the rest of the country is set to get drier.

Heavy rain can be expected throughout the rest of the day and for a time overnight. 30 to 50mm accumulations of rainfall is predicted, the highest in hilly and mountainous areas. 

Motorists are warned to take extra care on roads and reduce speed. 

Top temperatures will be 14 degrees celsius with 35km/h winds continuing into Thursday.
