Rachael Darragh to feature on TG4 this Saturday

Donegal Badminton star Rachel Darragh will be on TV this Saturday.
TG4 have announced live coverage of the AIG Victor Irish Open Badminton Finals this Saturday. Broadcasting from 1pm to 4pm, TG4 will bring viewers the excitement of the Mixed Doubles Finals, followed by the Women’s Singles and Men’s Singles Finals.
The event promises a thrilling showcase of Irish talent, with Olympians Nhat Nguyen and Rachael Darragh competing in the Men’s and Women’s Singles events.
Rachael Darragh said: “This year will be the 100th Irish winner if there was an Irish winner, of course everyone wants to take that title, it would be amazing.”
Nguyen, last year’s Men’s Singles champion, returns to defend his title, aiming to replicate the electrifying performance that captured the Irish Open crown in 2023.
“I know I got some exposure in the Olympics” said Nguyen to Spórt TG4 last week “…so to get even more badminton exposure on TV and on social media can only help the sport. I hope to deliver a good performance to help badminton grow in Ireland”.
Tune in to TG4 to catch all the action live and see Ireland’s top athletes compete for glory on home turf. Follow Spórt TG4 on X to see live clips and updates from the Finals Day.
