A Donegal-based animal charity has launched a tongue in cheek Valentine’s Day fundraiser called “Neuter Your Ex”, giving people the chance to channel their post-breakup feelings into real support for local animal welfare.
The concept is simple, playful and for a great cause. For €30 Animals in Need Donegal will name a feral cat after your ex and have them neutered as part of its Trap, Neuter and Release (TNR) programme.
They will also send you a picture of your ex’s feline name sake.
Animals in Need Donegal is a 100 per cent voluntary organisation that was founded in 2006.
The offer is running until February 14 and all money raised from the quirky fundraiser will go directly into the Donegal Animal In Need’s TNR programme to help reduce feral cat numbers.
