The annual Lifeboat Flag Day will be held in Letterkenny this Friday and the public is being urged to support the volunteers.
There will be bucket collections around the town raising much needed funds for the RNLI.
An RNLI Spokesperson said: “Lifeboat crews give voluntarily of their time and risk their own lives to save people in difficulty at sea. Your help is greatly needed to maintain and support this vital 24/7 rescue service, especially our own Lough Swilly Lifeboat. Please give generously on Lifeboat Day.”
