DUE to phenomenal demand, the Balor DCA’s production of the hit musical ‘Oliver!’ will return for two more nights to the Balor Theatre, Ballybofey, on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Audiences have been praising this spectacular family event with Tiarnan Doherty as Oliver and Kian Gallagher as the Artful Dodger.

When asked what makes the production such a success, Assistant Director Caroline Bell commented: “The audience seem to connect with the characters and have an affection for the songs, we have built up quite a good name for producing musicals with heart”.

The numbers are just staggering – forty seven in the cast, four in the band, five more backstage and another twelve behind the scenes – this is a huge production that has a lot of moving parts.
‘Oliver!’ is a thrilling story with plenty of laughs and familiar songs that do not fail to entertain.

Directed by Kieran Quinn, and Musical Direction from Denise Roper, this is a strong cast of many familiar faces, along with a large group of young people including many from the Balor Youth Theatre.

The choreography has been carefully put together by Eithne Sproule and costumes by JC Bonar, Marie Laverty, Valerie Maguire and Annemarie McGeehan.

This is a really successful community venture which has played to hundreds over the past week.

To book tickets for the extra shows on Tuesday and Wednesday, call the Balor Arts Centre box office on (074) 9131840 or log on to www.balorartscentre.com
