Public information evenings cancelled

A COMMUNITY engagement event by the Cloghercor Wind Farm project team, due to take place this evening, has been postponed due to the Creeslough tragedy.
The team behind the proposal for Cloghercor Wind Farm, located in the Clogherachullion and Cloghercor areas
Co-development partners, Ørsted and FuturEnergy Ireland, are jointly developing the proposed Cloghercor Wind Farm project.
The had invited the community to book an appointment to meet the project team to discuss proposals. A session was due to take place today from 2pm to 8pm in Halla Naomh Bride, Madavagh, Lettermacaward. Another information meeting was scheduled for Wednesday 12 October, 2pm-8pm, Teach Gleann Ceo, Main Street, Doochary. Both events have now been postponed.
A spokesperson said: “The Cloghercor Wind Farm project team have regrettably taken the decision to postpone the community engagement event to a later date out of respect to those affected by the Creeslough tragedy. The team send their deepest sympathies to those affected.”
The spokesperson said the events will be rescheduled, with dates to be confirmed.
