Psychologist’s report on man in burglary at home of 96-year-old woman

A Circuit Court judge has ordered a psychologist’s report on a man who has pleaded guilty to burglary at the home of a 96-year old Buncrana woman in January.

Thomas Alcock, has pleaded guilty to burglary at the home of Ms Margaret ‘Greta’ Lilly between January 4th and 5th last at Aghilly, Buncrana.

Alcock, of no fixed abode, wore a grey t-shirt and black trousers and spoke only to plead guilty.

He has been in custody since February.

Barrister Patricia McLaughlin, told Letterkenny Circuit Court on Tuesday the victim is very elderly and a victim impact statement will be prepared for the next court sitting.

Judge John O’Hagan adjourned the case until the next sitting of the circuit court in Letterkenny in October. Alcock, has been further remanded in custody.
