Protests across county on Sunday

THE public has been asked to come out on Sunday and support protest meetings against increased fuel prices and household charges in towns across Donegal.

Protests will take place in Letterkenny, Buncrana, Ramelton, Convoy, Rosnakill, Castlefin and Raphoe at 2 pm. Joe Murphy from Buncrana who staged the 25-mile per hour protest to Dublin last month will be going around the county today (Friday) announcing Sunday’s protests.

The local protests are coming in advance of a nation-wide protest at the end of January which is being organised by the Irish Haulage Association and local haulier John McLaughlin of JML in Convoy.
