Na Rossa made hard work of it but overcame Naomh Pádraig, Lifford by three points in Páirc MacDiarmada.
Moments of madness and silly mistakes were their own undoing at times, while Brian Breslin punished them at every opportunity, but Declan Bonner’s men still deservedly came away with the win against a battling Lifford.
The away side set the tone early and raced into a five point lead after fifteen minutes with the help of an Adrian Hanlon goal, but five minutes later he was sent off.
Despite the hosts taking the lead through a Breslin free, Na Rossa dominated the opening quarter as Aidan McHugh pointed from the left and Sean McMonagle gave them the lead from a tight angle.
