Profits from this year’s SULT festival distributed

FOLLOWING the success of this year’s SULT Féile Music Festival the organising committee has distributed profits raised among local charities and organisations.

At an event in Ionad Naomh Pádraig, Dore the SULT Féile committee presented cheques to the following groups: Scioból na bhFear [The Men’s Shed] received €1,000, Gweedore Celtic FC €500, Scioból na mBan [Women’s Shed] €500 and CLG Ghaoth Dobhair also €500. The presentation was made to the four groups for their assistance with the festival. Members of the Men’s Shed assist with erecting and dismantling the big top tent while the Women’s Shed help in making signage and other work for the committee.
The CLG Club received the cheque in recognition for the use of their parking facilities and Gweedore Celtic for the use of their football pitch.

The committee also made a presentation of over €5,000 to the following charities: Donegal Diabetic Parents Support Group, No Barrier Foundation, Donegal Branch of Spina Bifida, The Asthma Society and Pieta House.
SULT Féile Music Festival is a community based, outdoor music festival which aims to showcase the best of Irish and international talents live in the north west. The two day event takes place in the big top tent at Magheragallon right beside the sea in Gaoth Dobhair.

As well as raising funds for charity and local groups the profits raised are reinvested into the festival for the following year.
The 2023 SULT Music Festival will be taking place on Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15, and a camping facility will be provided at the Gweedore Celtic Football pitch.

The list of the top artists appearing will be announced at a later date.
