Priest to get a new look in aid of charity

Fr. Brian is also a member of the Bunbeg Coast Guard.

A popular west Donegal priest is planning to shave his head next month to raise funds for a local teenage drop-in centre.
Fr Brian Ó Fearraigh, CC in Gaoth Dobhair, is well known for his trademark mop of curly hair, beard and his good humour. He has decided to cut his hair and beard in aid of the Gweedore Teenage Drop in Centre. A member of the Bunbeg Coast Guard, Fr Brian is well known for helping his community and parishioners have seen him taking to the stage as Tom Jones, Freddie Mercury and even John Travolta to raise money in the past.
On Saturday, September 15, Fr Brian’s head shave will start off in Leo’s Tavern at 9.30pm before moving to Sean Og’s for 10.30pm and then what ever or little hair he has left will finish in Mickys pub at 11.30pm.
Sponsor cards are available in Derrybeg and Bunbeg posts office and Gweedore Credit Union. There is also a go fund page set up.
