There were power outages across Donegal today as heavy winds continue to batter many parts of the county.
Motorists across Donegal are urged to drive with extra care this morning with fallen branches and debris on many roads following strong overnight winds.
It remains stormy across the county and the wind has impacted on businesses and households with power outages reported.
In the Milford area, 2,695 ESB customers were left without power for a period this morning after a fault at the Milford (North) station. The fault was restored within 25 minutes.
Earlier today, a power fault left 1,387 customers in the Stranorlar area without power before the fault was repaired shortly after 9am.
In Letterkenny, 28 customers were without power since around 7.30am due to a fault at Cullion. Power was restored on Thursday afternoon.
Similarly, power has been restored to the homes of 18 customers without power following an outage at Milford (North).
A moderate Weather Warning for Wind for Donegal remains in place until 8pm tonight (Thursday).
This morning, Met Éireann has issued another moderate weather warning for wind in the county.
Northwest winds will be very strong and gusty at times. High waves are also expected along with difficult driving and cycling conditions.
The yellow wind warning is valid from midnight to 7am on Friday.
