THOUSANDS of ESB customers in Donegal are today entering a fourth day without power after Storm Éowyn ravaged the county on Friday morning.
It is likely that many homes and businesses in the county will remain without power until into next week.
The extreme, damaging and destructive winds associated with Storm Éowyn caused widespread and extensive damage to the electricity network across the country.
A spokesperson for the ESB has said that the impact on customers and damage to the electricity network nationwide was “unprecedented”.
“This is by far the worst storm experienced by ESB Networks both in terms of customers losing supply and the scale of damage across the network.”
