Post-mortems to be carried out on father and son

Post-mortem examinations are due to be carried out on the bodies of a father and son which were discovered at a house in Letterkenny yesterday afternoon.

The bodies were discovered at a house in Windyhall after a member of the public alerted Gardai.

The men have been named locally as Daniel Duffy (88) and his son, Damien, aged 50.

Gardai in Letterkenny are continuing to investigate the incident which is is being treated as a suspected murder suicide.

Both bodies have been taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where post-mortems are due to take place today. Gardai are awaiting the results to establish the time and causes of death.
